Life Demystified in a Baby's Smile

Hidden mysteries of life seem to be demystified when we enjoy the beautiful pleasures of God's creation, like a baby smile.  No matter how difficult life can get with the various pulls of discouragement and disappointment, a baby smile always seems to scream to me "God loves you!"  and somehow melts the negative of this world away in my own heart.  I can choose to look at all things wrong and be depressed or I can turn my mind to God's mercies, by His unending Grace, in Christ Jesus that surrounds me.

So here is a baby smile to melt away the bitter pangs of all that is wrong in your world.  She sees joy and wonder in most of her waking moments. Can we also live this way?  Because, like her,  we are mere babes and know so little of what God has planned for us. If we truly trust Him, we can anticipate great things and we will live in wonder of all things new as He reveals new truths!

The wonder only stops when we let it...will they ever stop wondering?

Our Cough Soothing trick - Honey "tea"

This is super simple, but it really has helped our little guy's cough.

Hot water
Honey

Combine, stir, let cool just enough for your child, and serve. It is also great for soothing a sore throat or just getting the nutrients from honey. Make sure your honey is real, though, not any of that strange fake stuff.

Spiderman 4th Bithday

Somebody turned four last month. I let him lick the beater for the frosting that went on his Spider web cupcakes. We had these guys with ice cream after our BBQ chicken dinner:

They are so easy. Just pipe the white frosting in three or four circles, like a target. Then use a toothpick to make the webs by starting from the center and going straight out to the edge.

We also had green goblin punch made with 7up, pineapple juice and, green sherbet.

Then the big present! A transformers bumblebee bike! He also got super heros from his cousins and Leapfrog tag books for his tag pen from Grandpa and Grandma. He also spent his $10 from his other Grandma (later) on a game that he found on the PS3 called the Pooyoos.

Then we went out back for the Pinata!!

Just a paper grocery bag on a hanger decorated with streamers and a printed Spiderman and spider webs.

I can't believe my little boy is 4 already!!
