Spiderman 4th Bithday

Somebody turned four last month. I let him lick the beater for the frosting that went on his Spider web cupcakes. We had these guys with ice cream after our BBQ chicken dinner:

They are so easy. Just pipe the white frosting in three or four circles, like a target. Then use a toothpick to make the webs by starting from the center and going straight out to the edge.

We also had green goblin punch made with 7up, pineapple juice and, green sherbet.

Then the big present! A transformers bumblebee bike! He also got super heros from his cousins and Leapfrog tag books for his tag pen from Grandpa and Grandma. He also spent his $10 from his other Grandma (later) on a game that he found on the PS3 called the Pooyoos.

Then we went out back for the Pinata!!

I can't believe my little boy is 4 already!!

Homemade Hamburger/Hot Dog Buns

I am an avid user of www.allrecipes.com. It is usually the first place I go to look for a recipe besides the few cookbooks I own.

I do love the way of sharing and rating recipes on All Recipes. Once I learn how to do this blog thing more efficiently I can have buttons and whatnot to go from one place to the next, but until then I will just give you a link to the recipe for these wonderful homemade hamburger/hot dog buns. They are so simple and so good. I'm sure a wheat version would be easy to do. Just add a little wheat flour in place of some of the white flour.

Here is a snapshot of my double batch from my family's birthday bash this weekend. I used 9 cups of flour and needed a little bit of my husband's muscle work because I am a bit of a wimp. whew!
